Como faço para usar minha placa de video

Eu acabei de instalar minha placa de video off board , iniciei , até ai tudo bem, instalei os drivers, só que ai quando reiniciei, depois que o windows ligou, pra aparecer a area de trabalho, a tela ficou toda preta.
Como faço para concertar isso gente?
Tem que desativar placa de video on board?
Eu ja desativei, eu acho, e continuou a mesma coisa.
