O meu pc liga mas nao aparece nada o que pode ser?

Tenho um toshiba a300 daquela coisa que houve a uns anos da e-escola, o pc tem ai 4 anos, á uns meses foi para arranjar porque eu ligava o pc normalmente, ele ligava mas aparecia um traço no canto superior esquerdo numa imagem toda preta e não saia dai foi para arranjar veio tudo bem agora está outra vez igual.. o que poderá ser?
