tentei chkdsk /f f para meu HD externo Samsung M3 mas não funcionou. Alguém, por favor, pode me ajudar?

Meu  Samsung M3 Portable de 1TB, de menos de 1 ano e meio de uso, fica com a luzinha acesa, as vezes da uns estalinhos, mas não aparece em nenhum lugar no PC. Ao tentar chkdsk /f f aparece a seguinte mensagem: "acesso negado, pois você não tem privilégios suficientes. Invoque este utilitário durante a execução em modo privilegiadiado". Também eu tentei esse procedimento com ferramentas mais complexas e seu HD não é sequer reconhecido. Não posso perder meus arquivos. Aguém pode me ajudar a acessar meu HD, pls ou, pelo menos, resgatar o backup dos arquivos, que diz na caixa do HD que é automático?
