o windows não tem pasta raiz. so o linux e que tem. mas de qualquer forma tá ae:
C:/ esse e a unidade onde contem todas as pastas.

A  "raiz" no windows, seria a pasta Sistem32 de onde vem o comando para todas as ações no windows... Esta pasta contèm os arquivos mais importantes do sistema operacional, se vc excluir esta pasta pode se preparar para instalar o windows novamente... quem conhece realmente de sistema operacional sabe o que eu estou falando!
