Rede wifi no linux usando TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless Lite N Adapter

Question

Na tentativa de conhecer a plataforma Linux, instalei recentemente o SUSE 10.1 e realmente é muito interessante. A instalação ocorreu perfeitamente, mas ao iniciar (novato em Linux), percebi que o SUSE não localizou o  adaptador TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless Lite N na porta USB e somente a conexão da placa de rede local, não existindo nenhuma opção em relação a adaptadores wireless.
Optei pelo SUSE 10.1 pois tentei usar o UBUNTU e o MANDRIVA e todos travaram em algum momento do uso, mas os dois citados acima localizaram e conseguiram navegar na NET por algum periodo.
Como resolver a situação do SUSE?
