Como recuperar os arquivos do cd que estava rodando no pc?

Estava assistindo um seriado pelo pc num cd, até que numa queda de energia o pc desligou e quando religuei, os episódios 5 a 9 simplesmente desapareceram, o nome do arquivo estava lá, mas não rodava mais porque o arquivo tinha 0 bytes. Simplesmente o conteúdo sumiu. Alguma ideia do que aconteceu? E como posso recuperar esses arquivos?
