Wubi, tem algum problema usar ele?

Eu me lembro de ter perguntado sobre o Wubi em algum fórum recentemente, e nele me recomendaram não usá-lo por que, entre outros motivos, ele gosta de bagunçar com instalações do Windows. Isso é verdade? Não tenho nenhuma experiência com Linux, e achei que usar essa coisa seria simples o suficiente pra me dar uma ideia de como é o Ubuntu sem que eu precise de mexer com partições.
